Alia is a growing MN-based national nonprofit, with a vision that every child experiences an uninterrupted sense of belonging. We do that by supporting and guiding child welfare and adjacent family-serving systems to keep more kids safely with their families, not from them. We meet this mission through building capacity in systems through offerings of workforce wellbeing, leadership coaching and strategy, and healing and belonging approaches. We also take big-bets in partnering with systems to provide transformational change. Our steadfast focus on building a culture of anti-racism at Alia is the lens through which we strive to see our work in the field.
Who you are at Alia is as important as what you do at Alia. We are a small and connected group of people who rely on each other for learning, encouragement, truth-telling, and for a good laugh. Feeling connected as a team is so important to us, so we would love for our next right hire to be located near our office in St. Paul, MN. Yet, the pandemic taught us how to make remote options work, so that is also a possibility.
As a 7-year-old agency, our goal is to bring the adaptability of a start-up into our next phase, to balance a spirit of learning with the wisdom of experience. With our team-of-teams style of work, you will lead projects and be a strong team member. We work hard and make our own luck, yet also find that who and what we need arrive right on time.
Team Alia thrives in movement and ambiguity; we are a do-tank and often occupy the “yes, and” space between knowing and not knowing, reflection and action. For this reason, if you know you thrive in conditions that are clear, linear, and fixed, this is likely not the best place for you. However, if you are flexible, responsive, don’t take yourself too seriously, get along with most people, know your own strengths and vulnerabilities, and care about systems working for kids and families, this could be a great fit.
All positions are full-time and include generous benefits. Other tangible and intangible, periodic and ongoing support are offered to you and reflect our deep commitment the wellbeing and resilience of our team. We are best with rich and varied perspectives and build our team to reflect a diversity of experience.
We are committed to hiring the best of the best, so we keep all positions open until filled; however, please submit your resume, cover letter, and salary expectations to our Chief Operating Officer/Chief of Staff Margo Kemp Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org. POC highly encouraged to apply.
